Seadraulics offer both the IW12 and the IW16 in the Stanley underwater impact wrench range. Both the IW12, a 34: square drive Medium Duty, and the IW16, a heavy duty 1″ drive hydraulic impact wrench, are designed for the toughest underwater bolting operations.
Note: An impact wrench is a rotary hammer that impacts the head of a bolt or nut. It does not apply a slow steady torque as a standard torque wrench. Therefore, several factors may affect the result of torque when using impact wrenches. Always read the manual before use.
Powered by a Stanley integral Hyrevz motor, the IW16 has a durable swing hammer impact mechanism with adjustable impact intensity from 500 to 2500 ft lbs (680 to 3400Nm) of torque. The Stanley IW16 design is suitable to run from a wide range of hydraulics circuits. The “D” style grip handle, with the multi-position assist handle and hi-visibility yellow paint, is standard.
Powered by a Stanley integral hyrevz motor, the hydraulic impact wrench, IW12, has a durable swing hammer impact mechanism with adjustable impact intensity. Normal applications include installation or removal of fasteners requiring torque in the range of 250-1200 ft lbs (407 to 1627Nm).
