Description

The BOP pump system is an amalgamation of 4 pumps mounted and connected to run together and switch over automatically to the higher-pressure pumps as the pressure rises.
The HPW90s supply low pressure flow of 300 LPM @ 90 bar, and then switches over to the HPW460 pumps to complete the pressurization at a flow of 100 LPM.

This will meet the API 6A standard for shutting down a BOP system in most cases. API 6A does state the shutdown time, but states that BOP’s having different cylinder volumes and pressure requirements that each pump system must be made to suit the BOP.

The pump system uses off-the-shelf Dynaset pumps, that have not been modified, and so can be replaced directly from manufacturer. Minor changes in orientation of the output manifolds, and hydraulic fittings, but standard pumps ordered directly will replace the pumps if they are configured before replacement is attempted.

The hydraulic system uses Sun Hydraulics cartridges and manifold bodies. Where possible parts utilized have been stainless steel. Where lead time has been unreasonable carbon steel has been utilized.
